In the arctic regions of the world, sled dogs have been used for hundreds of years. Traditionally the dogsleds have been the means of transportation in the frozen wilderness, which has made longer fishing- and hunting trips possible.
Wingren's Dogsafaris can offer you a timeless experience, far from the hustle of modern life. A dogsled tour on the snowfields and in mountains is an experience of silence and winter in nature.
Wingrens Dogsafaris is located in Köngäs in the Northern part of Finland, 12 km from Levi, which is Finlands largest ski resort. There are about 100 sleddogs in the kennel.
Tourists first started visiting the kennels and taking part in the safaris in 1995, but we have been competing in dogsled races since 1976.
